Trinidad

Trinidad is named after the beautiful city “ La Santísima Trinidad” built in the 16th century. (The Holy Trinity). It is located on the southern coast of Cuba and is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The Trinidad has existed as a brand since 1969. Like the Cohiba, it was made exclusively as a gift for foreign diplomats. It was only released for general sale in 1998 - but only in small quantities.

At first there was only one format from Trinidad: the Fundadores. In 2003 three more were added: the Reyes, the Coloniales and the Robusto Extra. At the same time, the brand's design and cigar rings were revised.

For a few years, the “Trinidad” brand cigars were manufactured in the “El Laguito” factory, the Cohiba factory. The special tobacco blends with fillers and binders from the Vuelta Abajo tobacco growing zone make this brand so exclusive.

Today production is located in the city Pinar del Rio , the most important city in the Vuelta Abajo .

After the launch of three formats - Esmeralda, Topes and Media Luna - in 2019, there are now a total of seven different formats in the Trinidad brand's standard range.

All formats are totalmente a mano, tripalarga – Long fillers made entirely by hand.
