Annette Meisl traveled halfway around the world as an artist agent, author and musician until one day she landed in Cuba and fell for the magic of tobacco and the art of rolling cigars. Her enthusiasm was so great that she asked the Cuban master roller Silvia Hernandez for instruction in this delicate handicraft. Over the years she learned first-hand, first the Cuban, later the Nicaraguan and Honduran intricacies of an art that goes back far into pre-colonial times. Alone or together with her rollers, she demonstrates the art of cigar rolling at events at home and abroad, teaches seminar participants how to roll, and gives exciting lectures and seminars about tobacco cultivation and the history of cigars. She is one of the few women in the world to have created her own blend, which is the basis for her now world-famous brand La Galana. The term ' cigar manufacturer ', coined by Annette Meisl, describes this mix of craftsmanship, know-how, knowledge transfer and passion for tobacco.

Patricia Fanroth worked in advertising and events for many years until one day she discovered LA GALANA. She now works primarily as an actress and works as a freelance cigar expert and event manager for La Galana.

MAGALY LAUGART

Magaly Laugart is an expert on all things tobacco, rum and Cuban history. She came to Germany at the beginning of the 1990s as part of a German-Cuban exchange program and learned the profession of tax assistant. She is now one of our cigar experts and gives seminars at the LA GALANA cigar salon and at events outside the company.
