Named after William Shakespeare's tragic lovers, the origins of the Habanos brand “Romeo y Julieta” date back to 1875.
The brand became world famous during the early 20th century under the leadership of Don 'Pepin' Rodríguez, a talented businessman who was one of the first to recognize the power of cigar rings. During its heyday, no fewer than 20,000 different cigar rings were used in production.
The best-selling format of the brand and Habanos in general in Germany is the Mille Fleur in the Petit Corona format (length 129 mm, ring gauge 42). It is famous for its uniquely good price-enjoyment ratio.
