H. Upmann
Hermann Upmann was a banker from Germany who loved Cuban cigars so much that he moved to Havana in 1844, where he worked as a banker and cigar manufacturer. His bank closed shortly after 1920, but his cigars live on as an excellent example of a light to medium flavored Habano.
All H.Upmann fillers and binders come from the Vuelta Abajo tobacco growing zone.
No fewer than eleven gold medals from international exhibitions during the 19th century adorn the boxes in which the cigars are packed.
The brand's two best-known formats, the Magnum 46 and the Magnum 50, which were introduced in 2008, are characterized by their light to medium-strong taste.
All formats are totalmente a mano, tripa larga – long fillers made entirely by hand.
